Chicken Soup for Public Innovation-Infrastructure
This weekend, I read Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul and recommend it to anyone trying to understand the value of public innovation-infrastructure. This book is filled with short stories about small business development. These essays describe the passion required to take an idea from nothing to millions of dollars in gross receipts and the heartache that often accompanies this journey. Public innovation-infrastructure can be thought of as organizations, like the Small Business Administration, that help entrepreneurs with their companies’ growing pains. Sadly, the United States Congress does not support the contributions these organizations provide. More books like Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul could help lawmakers understand the rational for funding public innovation-infrastructure.
